Theres been a lack of tournaments lately, so i was thinking of running one.
If i donated prizes for the winners, which would be a small bottle of vodka or some other liver damaging product, would anyone be up for a 1 v 1 Unreal Knockout Tournament?
As everyone has it installed and patched atm, its probably the best game. Obviously, it would work as a normal knockout tournment, whereby names of people participating will go into hat, saucepan or other such shakeable objective and get drawn and put into various game rooms. It will be best score after 10 mins or first 20 kills goes through to the next round. 1v1 maps only to be agreed between both players.
I'll draw up a table to make life easy... i.e. who is hosting, what the game room will be called etc etc....
For the majority of people, it should not take more than 20 minutes i.e. if 16 people are playing, after two 10 minute rounds 4 will be left. In other words, its not going to be time consuming (hopefully)
Before the tournament, all players should join the same server to make sure they are properly patched up etc.... and we could have a Team Deathmatch or Onslaught 8 vs 8 (top 4 groups vs bottom 4 groups on table) or something like that.... to warm up.
