Probably not - looks like to get some of the stuff you might actually want you have to part with real money. £13 for a mount? No thanks.
Other than that it looks quite interesting. I found this review:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/runes-of-magic-review?page=1 - I don't like the idea of the class system - separately leveling your primary and secondary classes? Oh dear. The world seems a bit small for an MMORPGOMGWTF, but I'm sure that'll improve. No healer class? Errr... Probably worth waiting for this one to mature a bit, and by then GW2 will be out and we can just play that instead.
I think the priest is the healer class in the game. Yeah the dual class build looks a bit "different". Your probably right about the mount business, when me and Broc tried ascalon online, the model was the same.
I'm over halfway through on the download atm so will have a play later on tonight and give a bit of feed back.
As with all these free 2 play gigs, I imagine the grind will be hard going, but thats the business model they have setup for these games.
As much fun as guildwars was, I don't think I'll be part with cash for a similar game unless it's something exceptional.
Unfortunately for us gamers, the designers of these MMORPG are all trying to emulate WoW without being "WoW" (good luck with that one).
Maybe out there on the interwebs is something fresh. The search continues.
