If you liked CoH then this will be a welcome addition to your collection.

It should come with a warning stamp "very steep learning curve" and "unforgiving"

To quote Star Wars, (something I'd never do Wink ) "you must unlearn what you have learned". The games innate control system whilst perfectly logical does consist of some deviations that are consistent in most other RTS (lets face it most all RTS are the same with different races/uniforms/building styles). It led to some comedy antics from both myself and Bungirl!!!

It has changed the pace of the game from the usual "I can make it there" made dashes by troopers or vehicles to a slow and steady 'measured' approach where you need to have squads/vehicles covering each other. For those of you familiar with CoH and the runaway gayness ... you will be pleased to here there is nothing so trite in this game ... if your bloke or even squad is in the open and gets caught by smg fire its likely to get creamed. Vehicles are also handled very well. You do not get a health bar per-se you instead have it recorded on a datacard of the unit and can have individual parts disabled/slowed/destroyed, so it is perfectly possible to blow the tracks off a tank but leave it with its turret and other weaponry enabled ... but it gives you the chance to ignore it if was in a position where it was not able to fire at anything. This option in itself opens up a potential can of worms as people can carry repair kits so given time they could have it up and running again!! The same applies to units who can use bandages to heal themselves and can use stimpacks to revive certain fallen comrades, thus regaining units

One of the games greatest features is the ability to play all the missions as a co-op with up to four players. There is a function in there to change ownership from one player to another player of ANY of your useable units.

On the subject of units, this game has no 'SPECIAL CHARACTERS' ie no invincible DoW-II SPace marine Commander with Holo-field Wink a massive plus in my book.

Anyways, just thought I'd share a few of my thoughts on what is developing into a great game the more I learn the controls  Shocked
